She also studied MFA Design for Social Innovation at the School of Visual Arts in New York, USA. Her experience combines knowledge from both programs and helps her make better and ethical decisions as a designer who wants to see a better world. Salimi worked as a Creative Director at Apex Advertising and Post Production, a renowned advertising agency in Accra, Ghana. She also worked at Marchesa, a prominent high-end luxury brand, as well as with other fashion brands while gaining industry experience in New York, USA.
