Inspired by images of Victorian corsets and forms, I came up with three looks which are interchangeable: a jacket, with a mandarin collar, welt pocket, doubled layered ruffles (peplum) with a train. This can be worn with the cigarette pants or the simple princess seam dress. A bustier with a single ruffled peplum and train, which can also be worn with the jacket over the simple cigarette pants with side pockets. The combination of the various design elements: Jacket, ruffles, train, pants, style/seam lines and dress creates a subtle sense of boldness and yet sophisticated look. 

My inspiration/mood images influenced my choice of color and fabric: ivory, champagne gold Chantilly lace, ivory champagne crepe back satin, tulle and organza. My color palette is limited to champagne cream, gold and ivory; which is very cohesive and gives my designs an overall timeless finish.
